This is the theory that changes in money do not change the underlying components of the economy since money changes are not "real" changes. This view is held by the New Classicals and the pre-Keynesian Classicals. It is also implicit in the term Real Business Cycles. Only fundamental changes to economic conditions will alter the performance of the economy.
